Social Media: Where is Everyone Going?
Facebook is facing one scandal after another.
Twitter is under new ownership, which is creating constant problems, and affecting the platform’s functionality. That happens when a company loses half its employees overnight.
Instagram seems to be so monetized that it’s basically all posts by sellers and businesses, with no real social content anymore.
So, if audiences are leaving these platforms, and it seems like they are, where are they going?
1 LinkedIn
LinkedIn is regarded as the more credible platform among all others.
Provides advertising options which allow users to target their ads effectively, especially for B2B marketing.
It is the safer choice as far as privacy rights, which they actually observe.
2 Pinterest
Pinterest is widely used by designers and all creatives.
It works very differently from Facebook and many other platforms, but for any creatives it’s a rather intuitive “mood board,” especially popular with interior designers.
All things image: “A picture says a thousand words.”
3 Hive Social
New and popular way to actually see your friends & family’s posts.
Hive Social is not yet monetized, and the company says it has no plans to do that in the foreseeable future.
4 Reddit
For the serious audiences who enjoy reading this is a gem.
Reddit is an interest-based social content platform.
